The Childbirth Enhancement Foundation endeavors to help you prepare for your baby's birth through the care and support by qualified birth professionals. Having a baby can often leave one feeling overwhelmed by all the choices and tasks at hand. Our programs are created to help ease this time and support you during this special occasion.
Private/Group Childbirth Education Classes
Our childbirth educators will provide you with one-on-one education in the privacy of your home or join our classes with other expectant families. Call for cost, location and dates.
Childbirth Assistant (doula) Services
This program is designed to help you plan for a positive birth experience. Studies show that women attended by birth assistants/doulas have shorter, easier birth experiences, use less pain medication, and have fewer c-sections.
Our certified childbirth assistants provide:
3 (non-medical) prenatal visits: average visit is two hours for Birth planning, education, labor techniques etc…
Continuity of care throughout labor and delivery, Your doula will stay with you and your partner through the birth process and for approx. 2 hours after the birth, to assist with breastfeeding and newborn questions.
2 postpartum visits, continued breastfeeding support if needed.
Cost is $425.00
We also offer labor support only for $250.00
The C.A.R.E.S project is available for those whose qualify.
Extended Postpartum Doula Care
Every mom needs a little TLC after the baby comes home. The transition into the home and infant care is never easy. Our postpartum doulas help by providing:
Mother-baby care and information
Breastfeeding support and education
Light housekeeping, errands and meal preparation
Emotional support
Sibling care
Services are primarily being provided in Central and
