In 1994 The Childbirth Enhancement Foundation was established as a not-for-profit 501 (c)3 corporation in the State of Florida.
CEF is committed to help ensure that any pregnant woman who desires labor support will have access to services. Hence, the
C.A.R.E.S. Project was developed.
This program offers doula services to families regardless of ability to pay. The foundation uses a sliding fee scale to help couples afford the services of a childbirth assistant.
Through this program CEF works with community members, institutions, grantors, healthcare professionals, insurance companies, and childbirth assistants in an effort to provide our services to families.
